Barn Owl - Solo

One of our native birds. An "ex -jailbird"
bred and hand reared in one of Her Majesty`s Prisons for use in the rehabilitation of young offenders, now a very valuable addition to the Education and Conservation program.

African Spotted eagle Owl - Rowan

Another African Spotted Owl, but a female, showing a different color phase highlighting the need for adapting to the habitat where camouflage is needed.

African Spotted Eagle Owl - Merlin

Came to training late in life, Merlin was hand reared after being rejected by his parents
And therefore has a wonderful relationship with people. (Especially gentle with children)

Great Horned Owl - Gonzo

Who was bred in captivity in this country. Unfortunately during the first few days of his life he was found to be suffering from a deformed right leg. The outlook wasn`t good - but after many months of intensive care he has become a celebrity in his own right and the perfect, magnificent owl he has become today.
Merlin and Gonzo are great friends so perform a "double act".
