I offer a full days programme which includes a static display of usually six birds and am available throughout the day to talk to and answer questions from visitors. I would require a roped off area (20 x 30 feet approx.) preferably soft ground / grass with a covered section, building or marquee for protection of the birds in inclement weather

I would present my flying demonstrations in traditional falconry dress and the demonstration lasts for 30 - 45 minutes. There is a brief introduction, information about the art of Falconry and the bird species and time at the end for any questions or photographs.

I will usually fly 2 or three birds during the demonstration and all the birds are flown completely free of any restraint. The demonstration is repeated later, using different birds and further explanation.

<= Newspaper clipping (Jersey).

"The sundials at Mont Orgueil Castle have been turned back to the Elizabethan age, as the battlements resound to the sounds of a hurdy-gurdy and birds of prey fly from the ramparts.

The Jersey Museums Service has engaged a troupe of merry players to re-enact the days of good queen bess's reign, when the Armada had been defeated and Shakespeare was just an aspiring playwright."

I have worked at a wide variety of venues and am flexible in the approach required for specific events, e.g. on a medieval day for school children I would focus more on the Falconry history of that period.

I must stress that the objective of my work is to educate, inform and allow members of the public to experience the sheer beauty of birds of prey in flight. I often work closely with Living History groups by making the art of Falconry come alive for children and adults. I also include the need for conservation and protection of endangered species as I feel it is very important part of my work.

If you are interested and would like more information, I would be pleased to meet with you and present my portfolio. I would be happy to bring some of my birds to show and answer any questions.
